Tenant Rights Council – Municipal Housing Campaign Launch

Worried about high rent? Sick of slumlords? Want to fight back against the destruction of affordable housing?
JOIN US at the Tenant Rights Council for the launch of Ottawa ACORN’s updated municipal housing campaign!
We have made great progress in past years with housing demands, but landlords and developers are still pushing back. While costs of living continue to rise and developers keep demolishing affordable housing, it is becoming clear: the fight is far from over.
The overwhelming majority of city councilors are homeowners, and yet they are the ones making decisions on issues impacting tenants. However, renters deserve to be heard and have their concerns addressed! That’s why we are organizing the Tenant Rights Council, an event run by and for Ottawa renters based on ACORN members’ most urgent priorities from across the city.
Come take action with your neighbours on June 17th to cast your vote at the Tenant Rights Council and help Ottawa achieve as much positive change as we can!
