Honoring Palestinian Life Through Transgressive Joy and Art

Carleton’s Palestine non-committee invites you to an event to celebrate Palestinian humanity and resilience through transgressive acts of joy amidst the ongoing destruction of life in Gaza. In a world that dehumanizes Palestinians, we mirror Palestinian transgressive joy as an expression of resistance, hope, and dignity in the face of erasure, apartheid, and fear. This event celebrates Palestinian life through various cultural and artistic activities, such as sharing Palestinian food, learning the Dabke line-dance, hearing poetry and stories, and engaging with an art exhibition. Our hope is to create a space that honors Palestinian humanity and presence despite an ongoing erasure, genocide, and occupation.
