Film Screening: Where Olive Trees Weep

The Justice and Equality Action Group of First Unitarian Congregation of Ottawa invites you to a screening of Where Olive Trees Weep: No One Is Free Until We Are All Free.

Filmed in the West Bank in 2022, this documentary portrays the everyday experiences of Palestinians resisting dehumanization, violence, and erasure at the hands of the Israeli occupation. Featuring Palestinian journalist and therapist Ashira Darwish, grassroots activist Ahed Tamimi, Israeli journalist Amira Hass, and Canadian trauma expert and Holocaust survivor Dr. Gabor Maté.

Free admission, donations welcome

Afnan Kaid, who is studying Human Relations and Spirituality at Saint Paul University while serving as Student Association president, will speak before the screening.
